Samsung LN-408D Review
The Samsung LN-408D finds its way as a budget conscious way to pack in features at a reasonable price point for consumers. The Samsung has a built in TV tuner with a pixel resolution of 1366x768. The resolution is not as sharp as the Sony, but it is still impressive.
The TV comes in a sleek black border with a sliver casing. The speakers are located on the bottom of the TV. Samsung claims that the LN-408D has a contrast ratio of 3000:1. Samsung uses a Digital Natural Image engine called the DNie technology; which produces a motion optimizer, contrast enhancer, detail enhancer.
Conclusion
The Samsung LN-408D produces a beautiful picture. It may be more of a better price point than the Sony’s KLVS40A10, and includes a HDTV tuner. I find that Samsung is more aggressive in pricing than a lot of other TV’s in its class.
Samsung LCD TVs are currently doing a big marketing push with Microsoft Xbox 360. In the shopping malls I frequent, the Xbox 360’s are demoed with the Samsung LCD’s which tells you something about the quality of Samsung LCD TVs - the Samsung LN-408D included . This is a great selling point because the graphics of the game box mixed with the great quality of the TV makes the presentation phenomenal. In all, the Samsung LN-408D is a very nice LCD TV.
