Samsung LN-5271F, Samsung LN-4671F, & Samsung LN-4071F Review
Samsung has produced some of the best consumer-rated LCD TV's in the last few years. To keep up with the Jones, Samsung has introduced the 120hz models - Samsung LN-5271F, Samsung LN-4671F, and Samsung LN-4071F. Samsung is calling these models the "auto motion plus" which basically means better picture and clarity when it comes to fast motion scenes. The LN 71F series comes with a whopping 25000:1 contrast ratio. That is one of the highest I've seen in the current LCD TV market. Not to be outdone, Samsung's 81F series will be 100,000:1.
The picture of the Samsung 71F series is outstanding. There are really sharp shades of black and great picture detail. You can see different shades of skin tones on individuals in comparison with the 65F series - you do see a difference in contrast of colors.
Some of the major specifications of the Samsung LN-5271F Series are:
- 1080P Resolution, 1920 x 180
- 25,000:1 contrast ratio
- 120hz action motion plus
- 3 HDMI 1.3 compliant inputs
- 2 Component inputs
- SRS Tru Surround XT
Samsung's 71F series is their second-highest model. The new 81F models will be the "top of the heap" models. Overall, the 71F series provides a improvement in imaging sharpness and color over the 65F series. With the higher features as 25000:1 contrast ratio and 120 hz motion features, the 71F becomes a more expensive proposition. In my opinion the better picture quality justifies the increase in price. Any of Samsungs 71F series - Samsung LN-5271F, Samsung LN-4671F, and Samsung LN-4071F - should be one of the top picks for consumers in 2007/2008.
