Samsung LN-T5781F Review
As one of the most anticipated LCD series of the year, the Samsung LN-T5281F / LN-T4681F / LN-T4081F / LN-T5781F can produce a whopping 50:000:1 ratio using LED backlighting. These LCD LED TVs are now being compared to the cross technology of the plasma picture. The Samsung LNT 81F series comes in a 57, 52, 46 and 40-inch size. In my opinion, the bigger the screen, the more relevance to having this new technology it has. The LCD Led backlighting can implement superior dimming controls that produce better blacks that is seen in instances of plasma technology.
It’s all about the picture quality for the enthusiast who wants the best LCD technology currently offered. The Samsung LN-T5281F / LN-T4681F / LN-T4081F / LN-T5781F is the next best thing besides waiting for the SED Technology to come out. The SED TV’s have been in waiting for a while, and have suffered some setbacks. The great thing about SED technology was that it could produce a contrast ratio of 100,000 to 1. The 81F brings in a ratio of 50:000 to 1. Why is it so important? Consumers want the same contrast and brightness of the old CRT technology. The SED and the new LCD LED TV comes very close to achieving that dream.
The Samsung 81F series will be on the top echelon of the one to compare with the Sony Bravia XBR4’s, 71 F series (with 15:000 contrast ratio) and even the Pioneer Kuro plasma televisions. The picture quality will produce the best shades of black in the market. The question is, will the normal person be able to pick this image out? In dark movie scenes, the picture quality shows the winner with the distinctive shades of black. The 81F series brings out brights combined with the blacks.
Some of the major specifications of the Samsung LNT-5281F Series are:
- 1080P Resolution, 1920 x 180
- 500,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio
- Wide color gamut LED backlight
- LED motion plus
- 8 ms reponse time
- 3 HDMI 1.3 compliant inputs
- 2 Component inputs
- SRS Tru Surround XT
The Samsung LN-T5281F / LN-T4681F / LN-T4081F / LN-T5781F series is the top of the line Samsung LCD TV series. The selling point is the technology of LCD LED backlighting with a high contrast ratio. What does this mean to normal consumer? This means a substantial increase in price of over grand. Is this worth the price of admission for the normal consumer? Probably not, but the pure LCD junkies who wants the nice blacks to fade to black detail, will definitely want the 81F series. It is very close to the blacks of even the Pioneer 8th generation series code name Kuro. If you’re an LCD junkie with money to burn, then the 81F series is the one to own. But again, the junkie will still have make tweaks to the picture quality just to make it right. The normal consumer should consider the cheaper LNT71F series with the 15:000 to 1 contrast ratio. Still a great LCD with a better price point. If you want a more 3D picture image, the Pioneer Kuro (5080) series should be another consideration.
