Sony KDL-40XBR6 Review, Sony KDL-46XBR6 Review, Sony KDL-52XBR6 Review
Sony's Bravia LCD line-up recently added a significant number of new members to its ranks. With their addition, the Bravia line now consists of 30 different models. The brand name has long been recognized as being a particularly excellent range of 1080p high-definition displays, if a bit expensive. During a mass unveiling in New York, Sony revealed seven new Bravia LCD televisions, with two of them standing out in particular - the XBR6 and XBR7 Lines.
The new Bravias are Sony's newest premium line of displays. They present the clearest visuals and have the highest picture quality of any Sony line. Especially acclaimed for their ability to display incredibly dark blacks and vivid colors, the quality of these sets is unprecedented in the LCD high-definition television industry's history. The new sets from the XBR6 series are the first of these additions. Previously the XBR6 was available in either a 32" or 37" model. Now available in 40" (KDL-40XBR6), 46" (KDL-46XBR6), and 52" (KDL-52XBR6), these high-definition sets offer unprecedented picture quality.
Many exciting new features make the XBR6 sets extremely appealing products for the savvy consumer searching for a television from the current generation of LCDs. The bottom speaker has been specially designed to save as much space as possible, allowing more room to be used for the screen and controls. A floating glass design brings back memories of older Sony high-end displays, and is a welcome sight with their newer sets due to their aesthetically pleasing nature. Extra speaker grille accents are options for additional purchases. The accent colors include red, silver, and gold. Along with additional grilles, these grille colors can be purchased separately.
