Sony KDL-46XBR8 Review
Sony KDL-55XBR8 Review
The best of the best are finally coming out thanks to the expensive 2008 top model LCD TVs of Sony -the KDLXBR8 models. I personally think that Sony will have to think of new names for the XBR series as they are running out of single digits! This XBR8 series has one of the best looking aesthetics out in the LCD TV lineup with a beautiful black glossy border and an interesting glass border that has another black rectangle black border around it. Again Sony has outdone itself with the styling - the KDL-46XBR8 and KDL-55XBR8 look very slick!. These versions of the XBR8’s have all the bells and whistles of the past models and even more connectivity with the net so you can watch youtube videos right on your TV.
The great thing about the KDL-55XBR8 is that Sony has decided to up the size of the regular 52inch to 55inch screens. Great news for those wanting more screen real estate. The future demand lies in producing LCD TV’s 60-inches or more.
The XBR8 series have the following main features:
- 1080P Resolution (1920x1080P)
- 120 Mhz motion flow to reduce judder
- Triluminous LED Backlighting
- Advance Contrast Enhancer Pro dimming technology (ACE PRO)
- 10 bit processor
- Digital medial port
- 4 HDMI, 2 component and Ethernet connection
With outstanding picture quality ( especially blacker blacks which the Triluminos LED backlighting helps produce), it’ sure to please the pickiest of consumers. It’s definitely the benchmark for the top LCD’s of 2008. If you are in the market for a high end, more expensive bling on your TV, then either the KDL-46XBR8 or KDL-55XBR8 will make your dreams come true.
