Top 10 LCD TVs – 42-inch and lower
As new televisions hit the stores, the buzz this year is lighter and thinner. Although it is nice to show off at first, most of us want quality looking pictures. The LCD’s of last year are still thin enough. Any way, they are not light fancy laptops like the Apple Mac air. You will notice new wireless features so you do not have to connect the source directly to the LCD. As a traditionalist, having cable directly connect is more preferred. Still you need one cable connect to those TV’s, the power cable.
Here is a list of our top 42 inch TV’s or lower. We think the 42 inch is more of the common size that consumers are looking for, and that’s why we have broken the top 2008 Top 10 LCD’s to 42 inch and lower and 46 inch and higher.
- Samsung LN40A750 - Move over Sony, taking the example of the xbr4, is the glass bezel on top of the back border, with touch of red outline. Simply brilliant in eye candy. This picture will please the eyes with 1080 P and 120mhz picture.
- Sony KDL 40XBR4 - Still a popular choice with the Sony consumer, but it bumped off since it is the 2007 model
- Sharp LC42D43U – The first adapters of LCD are very popular to consumers. Their price point and features offer a good sweet spot.
- Sony KDL-40W4100 – This is lower version of the XBR series with 1080P and 120 Mhz pictures. Still a great TV without the looks of the XBR.
- LG 42LG60 - LG’s version provides their version of Black beauty. Getting closer to the standards of the big three, but still ways to go.
- Samsung LN40A550 – All the features you need except the 1020 mhz picture. Could be a good alternative if you are concentrating on price.
- Toshiba Regza 42RV530U – Toshiba has dropped off these few years but are looking into providing a good bang for your buck with features that the top lines offer.
- Samsung LNT-T4081F – Still a favorite from last years crop of TV’s. Maybe discounts can be found on this beauty.
- Westinghouse TX42F40S – All the features you need at budgeted price. Still worth considering the brand names.
- Sharp LC42D64U – Last years model might will still provide all the features the consumer is looking for.
