Visiting the Television Store
The best way to compare LCD TV’s is going to your local electronics store to compare them. The Dell web site is selling TV’s which look like they have great features and great prices, but wouldn’t you want to compare different LCD TVs before making such a big purchase? When buying from the internet, like the Dell website, you have to take a chance by buying the unit before sampling the TV. Also, if there is a Dell store, you can’t compare them to the brand name TVs. Sure, Dell TVs may get great reviews, but seeing is believing.
Electronic stores will be showing off their TV in the best format like high definition TV from a high definition box; or from movies from a DVD player. Your eyes should not deceive you, pick what you figure is the best picture. Don’t be surprised to see a lower quality picture when watching a normal broadcast on the TV. Normal TV broadcast uses a signal with less lines of resolution than a high definition format. To get more of a feel of the LCD in different lighting conditions, try to look at the same TV’s at different stores as stores show the same LCD TV’s in different settings.
